How To Create An Irresistible Signature Offer For Your Service Business
If you’re a new or aspiring entrepreneur, I’m sharing with you some of my tips for creating a signature offer for your service business. What I always recommend my 1:1 coaching clients to do when they’re just starting out is to focus on just one offer. Even if you have multiple passions, talents, and skills, it’s way more effective to just put out one signature offer and make it absolutely amazing.
In general, experts make more money and book more clients because they are the best at what they do. There is no one else quite like them. So although it’s tempting to offer a million different programs, services, or packages to try and see what sticks, this can actually hurt your business. People don’t want to work with someone that does 100 different things. They want to work with someone that is a total expert on just one thing.
With that said, let’s dive into the five key steps for creating an irresistible signature offer your dream clients will be whipping out their credit cards to sign up for.
Identify Your Passion
First and foremost, crafting a signature offer starts with tapping into your passion. Running a business requires a lot of hard work. It requires you to put your heart and soul into it. It’s very important that you are truly passionate about the service you’re offering. It has to be something that really lights you up and gets you really excited to help your dream clients with.
Not only do you need to be really passionate about it, it also has to be a strength for you. Your signature offer has to revolve around something that you are naturally really good at, have experience in, or know more about than the average person.
In order to sell your offer like hotcakes, you need to have unshakable confidence in yourself and in your offer and your experience and expertise is what creates that magnetic confidence.
So don’t create an offer around something just because everyone else is doing it. It has to be something you feel really passionate about and confident offering.
Know Your Ideal Client
Getting super duper clear on your ideal client is absolutely crucial for not just creating an irresistible offer but for the success of your business. The more specific you can get with your ideal client, the easier it will be to attract your dream clients.
Before you even dive into all the details of your signature offer, I suggest first creating an ideal client avatar, which is basically a character that represents the specific group of people that you want to serve.
Think of your dream client avatar as a real person. Give her a full identify. Create a picture of her in your mind and get really descriptive— so much that you feel like you actually know her.
It’s important that you not just know who she is but that you also deeply understand her, what she’s most struggling with right now, how she’s feeling, and what her big goals and dreams are.
Solve Her Problem
People don’t buy your time, your service, or your offer. What they really buy is a solution. In order to create an irresistible offer for your ideal client, you need to really tap into what her main problem is and create a solution for her.
For example, my ideal coaching client is a woman who has a successful career but wants to do something that’s more soulful and aligned with her passion. Something that makes her feel fulfilled and allows her to make a positive impact in people’s lives. She also desires to create freedom and flexibility to be able to live the lifestyle that she wants.
Her problem is that she just doesn’t know how to make that happen on her own. She doesn’t know the exact steps to take. She needs help and that’s exactly why I created the program. It’s an easy to follow step-by-step guide for her to launch her dream business based on her passion.
Get Clear On The End Goal
The next step in crafting your signature offer is to get really clear on the end goal and the amazing results you’re helping your ideal client achieve.
People don’t really care about all the details and logistics about your offer. They care way more about what the results they’ll have as a result of working with you.
The end goal should be something that’s tangible and measurable. It has to be really clear by the end of the program whether you hit that goal or not.
Using my coaching as an example again, the end goal I help my clients achieve is establishing a strong foundation for their online service business in order to grow their email list and attract their dream clients quickly and easily.
This end goal is something you definitely want to communicate with your ideal clients and on your sales page. People will be much more likely to give you a YES if they know exactly what amazing results they’ll have after working with you.
Map It Out
Next, you want to map out your offer, program, package, or service. Make a list of how exactly it’s going to work, what it’s going to include, and all the little bells and whistles. Seeing the big picture in this way will help you get grounded in the amazing value you’re offering.
If you’re just starting out, don’t worry about getting your offer perfect. Once you start working with clients, you’ll have a much better understanding of what your ideal clients need so you can refine and tweak things as you go.
Bonus Tip: Give It A Fun & Catchy Name
Lastly, give your offer a really fun name to get your ideal clients excited. Having a really powerful name can make a big difference. Think about it. Which sounds more enticing? Disneyland, the happiest place on earth, or amusement park? Nuff said.
